Outstanding place with full equipment, great restaurant and all was just perfect. The way how was everything cleaned and maintained, all want on one magnetic card, payment at the machine, the bathroom? I want such at home, really! This was not our last stay at Montiggl
One of the most awesome campsites we have been to as far as facilities go. Everything is clean, new and stylish. There are no amazing views or a big lake here but it does have direct access to a spectacular forest! Which is great for the morning walkies with our dog. The staff here are super friendly and accommodating and they were willing to give us an emergency spot even though they are full. Can highly recommend! The WiFi is good, the food is fantastic, we are very happy campers 😊
We came across this site whilst en route to Italy and were really pleased we decided to give it a try. The staff/owners are really friendly and helpful. The facilities are very good, with a contemporary and luxury feel. Everything is brand …
What an amazing camper parking! The facilities are brand new and better than a 5 star hotel. Great place to wash your dishes and super comfortable showers with floor heating. You can arrive at any time as the entrance is completely automated (you get a parking ticket like in many other parkings and pay when you leave at an automated cashier). And the price is extremely reasonable: 13 Euro for a 12 hour stay and a little less than double that for 24hrs. Fancy restaurant and cafe on the premises. Bravo!!!
A nice a quiet campsite situated beautifully between the mountains and close to Bolzano.
We have stayed at this campsite several times now, where we have used it as a stopover, when going back and forth to Italy with our caravan. Our kids love the place, so we have always stayed a few days here, to enjoy the natural-pool and visit the city of Bolzano.
The campsite has a small store that offers the essentials, including freshly baked morning bread. However, it is only open between 8-12, but I believe it is possible to still buy stuff from there, if you ask nicely in the restaurant.
The on site restaurant is located next to the pool and they do serve a good pizza among other stuff (Only tried their pizza’s)
The pitches are all made with gravel stone, which also goes for all the roads. I assume this is to handle the thunderstorms that normally comes with heavy rain, which could turn any lawns into a mud hole.
All the pitches offers on pitch drainage points and the electrical points and water Hook-up can be found on every second pitch’s (Each covering up to 4 pitches). This mens that if you want to connect your caravan/camper van with water, you should bring a long hose, just in case.
The toilet facilities is quite new and well kept.
The free WiFi works quite well and seems to cover all the campsite. Our kids had no problems playing online etc. with their iPads.
The LTE (4G) coverage on the campsite, was also acceptable and I tested the bandwidth to be around 15-25 Mbps. on WINDTRE, with our 4G+ Router with external antenna.
All in all this is a great hub for visiting Bolzano and the wineryes in the area.
But in my opinion, the campsite is lacking a place for ball games etc. which could be made with artificial grass. Therefore I’m holding back on the fifth star.
Another thing that could be improved is the check-in process, because there’s no check-in lane when arriving, which means that you have to block several parking lots, while checking in at the reception.
Excellent facilities, nice staff overall enjoyed our stay there
We have stayed here twice now and we love the place, which has become our perfect stopover when going to Italy on summer vacation.|Everyone is really helpful and friendly and the place just has this relaxing atmosphere. ||The toilet/bath …
Excellent camp site that has just started it's first season after opening. Brand new sanitary buildings, great restaurant and one of the best free WiFi connections I've encountered. Everything is well-thought and of high quality. These guys know what they're doing! Use this camp site as your base for trips into the Dolomites. After a long, hot day of activities, swimming in the natural pool is the best thing.
Only two down sides: there is not much shade yet, since all the plants are still young. And if you're travelling with a tent, it's not easy to hammer down your tent pegs, so make sure you'll bring some decent ones.
